Squamish may be known for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities, but that’s not all it has to offer. Once you’ve wrapped up your day and are ready to refuel for the next one, try one of these great Squamish restaurants. We know it’s hard to choose, so we recommend trying all 10!

The Salted Vine

Located along the Sea-to-Sky Highway in downtown Squamish, The Salted Vine offers fresh seasonal foods, and one look at their menu will have your mouth watering. Would you prefer Wagyu beef, lamb ragout or pacific squid? The Salted Vine has it all. Try a cocktail and don’t skip over the Valrhona chocolate mousse. The restaurant is currently open for happy hour and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.

Pepe & Gringo’s

Don’t let the name fool you! The restaurant has some awesome Mexican food, but they also serve pasta, steaks, tapas, and more. The butter chicken is a real crowd pleaser! Pepe & Gringo’s is known for fast and friendly service, and is perfect for all budgets. Drop in for a meal, and don’t forget to check out the patio on a nice day.

  

Howe Sound Inn & Brewing

A restaurant and inn, all wrapped into one location- what more can you ask for? Howe Sound Brewing won the award for best brewpub in BC in 2014. It may be known for its award winning craft style ales, but make no mistake, this place also has great food and a fun atmosphere. If you have time, stay for the live music and be sure to check out the free brewery tour held every Saturday.

 

Match Eatery & Public House

Match is a local favorite. The contemporary themed British pub serves pub staples with a local flare, and lucky for you, they also offer brunch on the weekends. When you’re done eating, try the 100 gaming machines, 102-seat Bingo area, racebook and poker tournaments, or catch a UFC fight. There’s live music, shuffleboard and more. The WaterShed Grill

Visitors appreciate WaterShed for its rustic location right on the river. If you’ve spent your day on the water, pull right up! You’ll have a great from the patio. Head over for the tasty weekend brunch, or enjoy the full menu. The yam fries are a favorite, but you’ll have everything from ribs, salads and burgers, to pasta, beef ragout and tacos. Great food, great scenery and great service- WaterShed has it all.

Mag’s 99

You can’t visit Squamish without making a trip to Mag’s 99. The bright orange exterior is easily spotted from the highway, and the interior is just as fun.  Stop by for some of the best casual Mexican food in town, or stick to the fried chicken. You can’t go wrong. Mag’s offers huge portions at great prices, without sacrificing quality. Tip: Check out the cool graffiti in the bathrooms!

Oryzae Sushi

Oryzae is the first Japanese Izakaya restaurant in the area. The restaurant’s menu includes traditional Japanese sushi, as well as unique items like duck poutine, sushi pizza and octopus dumplings. Round out your visit by trying a traditional sake or dessert. Oryzae combines the feeling of a neighborhood restaurant with excellent service and distinct flavours, proving you really can have it all.

Spice Root

Spice Root brings the flavours of Thailand and other cuisines along the ‘spice route’ to Squamish and the Sea to Sky! If you’re looking for fusion and flare, Chef Ryan Fennell provides it. The food at Spice Root is made of the highest quality ingredients. You’ll find salads, stir fries, soups and more, all influenced by traditional Thai and Vietnamese dishes. The restaurant also offers an impressive selection of international and local beers, wines by the glass and a cocktail list focused on classic cocktails remixed with a unique twist.
