The much anticipated Squamish Beer Festival, held in the heart of downtown Squamish, B.C. at the O’Siyam Pavilion, kicks off on July 8th, 2017. It runs from 2 pm until 8 pm. This is a go-to event for all hophead lovers each year. It’s a great time to share your love of beer, music, food, and fun in a breathtaking and memorable setting. Participants each year offer rave reviews of the event. It’s a wonderful way for beer connoisseurs to commingle in a laid back atmosphere.
Advance tickets are strongly suggested. They can be purchased at the Squamish Beer Festival website. A shuttle service is being provided to the event from Vancouver and Whistler at a cost of $25 per person
Tickets are also available for the Pre-Festival Brewers Party, which will be held at the Top of the Sea to Sky Gondola. The evening event party features live music, a bbq, numerous tasty brews, and breathtaking views of Howe Sound and the Gulf Islands.
The Squamish Beer Festival is an outdoor event that features over 40 unique craft breweries. Many breweries attending the event are local. However, in previous years breweries have attended the festival from as far away as Scotland, the U.S., and Denmark. Each brewery will have their latest craft beer creations available for sampling.
Event participants will have the chance to taste and view over 120 beers. With so much variety, there is guaranteed to be a sudsy beer to fit everyone’s taste. There will also be ample food truck vendors offering up delectable culinary creations that are sure to make everyone’s mouths water.
A $35 general admission ticket provides the attendee with the opportunity to have one tasting glass and six small four ounces, tasters. The $99 Beer Lovers Tickets offers one tasting glass, six small four ounce tasters, festival site access one hour earlier than general admission tickets, and numerous additional amenities. Anyone can also decide to purchase six additional tastings for $10.
This event is not for children or youngsters. All event goers must be 19 years old or older. Two pieces of identification will be required to enter the event. Dogs are also not allowed.
Volunteers are being sought and are welcome at the event. Any beer enthusiasts that are 19 years or older are welcome to volunteer to help make the Squamish Beer Festival a fulfilling and memorable event for everyone involved. Volunteering is also a great way to get on on all the fun and participate from a different angle than a typical event attendee.
