Fergies Cafe

For breakfast and lunch, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better choice than Fergie’s. Or a prettier view – the sun-drenched deck offers not only fresh air and sunshine, but also stunning views of Mount Alpha.

Cuisine: Locally-grown ingredients prepared fresh in-house. No worries if you’re vegetarian, dairy- or gluten-free; you’ll find plenty of choices here.

Know Before You Go: Fergie’s Cafe is open daily from 8am to 3pm, closed only on Christmas and Boxing Day.

Howe Sound Inn & Brewing

Eat, drink and be merry – you can do it all week long at Howe Sound Inn & Brewing. The award-winning craft ales and lagers aren’t the only reason to stop in.

Cuisine: A full menu features tantalizing entrees (Calamari Salad, House Smoked Beef Brisket, and Artisan Pizzas – hungry yet?) as well as a selection for vegetarians and gluten-sensitive diners. And while the Howe brewmasters know their stuff, they also know how to behave: your family is welcome here.

Know Before You Go: This downtown Squamish destination offers seasonal brews and weekly specials. The pub serves lunch and dinner through the week, and is also open for breakfast on the weekends.

Pepe & Gringos

there’s something on the menu here for just about anyone. While the airy, rustic lodge certainly serves up a fine selection of Mexican dishes, these Gringos know what to do with pasta and steak, too.

Cuisine: Mexican, yes, and also seafood, steak and pasta. From Butter Chicken (a favorite!) to Baby Back Ribs, you won’t leave hungry and you will go back.

Know before you go: Pepe & Gringos is open for  Lunch and Dinner

The Living Room

Located inside the Executive Suites Hotel & Resort, The Living Room opens you up to the possibilities of fine dining and fabulous service. High ceilings, huge windows, a large outdoor patio with fire pits and spectacular golf course views and majestic mountain vistas complement the luxurious atmosphere of the restaurant and lounge. Lest you think “luxury” equals “stuffy,” think again. Diners can cozy up to the fireplace or lounge in front of many TVs. And as fine as it is, it’s The Living Room, after all – so families are welcome.

Cuisine: The menu is varied, from fresh salads to decadent desserts. To get the signature Crab Cakes Eggs Benny – named a “Must” on the best breakfast menu in the Squamish and BC Corridor – you’ll have to go Friday – Sunday, as it’s only served on weekends.

Know Before You Go: Reservations are generally recommended.

Match Eatery

TheMatchPub-nov4

Located inside Chances Squamish, halfway between Vancouver and Whistler, Match Eatery is as British a pub as you can find in BC. If you’re looking for good food amid gaming, sports competitions on the telly, and daily drink specials, this is a good Match for you!

Cuisine: It’s a British pub, right? So classic Fish and Chips is on the menu, mate – but here in North America Match also serves pizza, pasta, burgers, and corn dogs.

Know Before You Go: Whether it’s music in the bar or old friends by the fire, the atmosphere is better matched to adults, not families.

Zypher Cafe

In the heart of Downtown Squamish, the Zephyr Cafe offers creative, healthy dishes primarily made of locally-sourced foods.

Cuisine: Tasty veggie, vegan, raw and gluten-free dishes can be found at The Zephyr, along with local coffees and loose-leaf teas.

Know Before You Go: If you’re hungry for dinner, plan to eat early. While Zephyr Cafe is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the cafe closes at 7pm through the week, and 6pm on Sunday.
