Spring is the time of the year when there are so many home maintenance tasks. For instance, it’s when we start to use our decks more frequently but, before doing this, it’s a good idea to perform an inspection to ensure that deck areas are still serviceable and safe for your family and friends.
The wood and supporting beams may have started to deteriorate over the winter months so check for rotten boards and replace as necessary. There might be insect infestation, which needs treating.
Remove any mold or mildew on the decks and apply water repellents or semi-transparent deck stain – this will prolong the life of the wood and cause less maintenance headaches in the long run.
Once you’ve completed your deck maintenance, you can create the perfect entertaining space with garden furniture, patio pictures, plants etc and enjoy the great outdoors!
