Refresh Market returns to Squamish’s historic West Coast Railway Heritage Park Friday for its first Fall Market happening Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14. This not-to-be-missed event features many of your favourite local artists, makers and small shops, as well as a selection of more than 30 first-time Refresh Market vendors.

Here are ten new Refresh Market vendors worth checking out.

PINTO PROJECTS

Pinto Projects is a collection of earthy wheel-thrown ceramics handcrafted to order on the Sunshine Coast by artist Emmalee Madden.

FIFTY/FIFTY COLLECTIVE

Lauren Lee created Fifty/fifty Collective upon discovering how quickly her child outgrew gently and unworn clothing. Her collection of vintage and second hand children’s clothing ranges from Levi’s denim to Adidas footwear.

EAST VAN LIGHT

East Van Light is a collection of refined industrial lamps made with locally sourced premium hardwoods and reproduction Edison light bulbs. Each piece is made by artist Dan Emery in the heart of East Vancouver.

REVOL GIRL

Revol Girl is a collection of leakproof underwear designed by founder Sara Jonsdottir. Each pair intents to give protection peace of mind to women of all shapes and sizes during all levels of flow.

MERGE

Merge is a Tofino-based lifestyle shop housing a thoughtful selection of long-lasting goods and Canadian made products curated by shop owner and artist Laurie Boudreault.

WILD FORCES

Squamish-based artist Rebecca Preston’s Wild Forces is a collection of North American-inspired original illustrations, prints and custom work.

BAHHGOOSE

BAHHGOOSE is an ethical clothing brand designed and handcrafted by Emily Craddock in partnership with a small group of Asian artisans. Each purchase supports Balinese workers and preserves culture by offering a fair wage and producing small batch, custom made pieces.

RAHA ROHO

Shop owner Joy Litwin founded Raha Roho after a trip to Morocco where she fell in love with the country’s traditional handicrafts, textiles, sun-drenched colours, aromas and people. Her collection of authentic Moroccan rugs is made in the homes of women weavers.

ALISON KENT X JESSICA REDDIT

Designer Jessica Redditt and artist Alison Kent are unveiling a new collaboration of kimonos with fabric cut, dyed and sewn by Jessica and featuring with artwork by Alison.

GOLD SPARROW

Gold Sparrow is a collection of art and accessories made by acrylic and clay artist Kristina Hall, whose work is inspired by culture, travel and the Northern Ontario landscape.
