Back by popular demand and a wet fall season in Squamish, we revamped our Rainy day things to do series. This year includes more great ways to play and adventure inside at our Local Favourites, along with some of our favourite things to do to get a little lift on the wet and soggy Squamish days. Remember, rain in town usually means snow on the mountain peaks! Enjoy our 2016 guide for how to the rainy day blues.
1. Grab a pumpkin spice latte at Zephyr Café, Spokes Café or Cloudburst
Start the day right with a warm and tasty pick-me-up. Swing by one of our local favourite cafes and grab a warm drink. A pumpkin spice latte will put you in the mood for fall. Grab a friend and enjoy catching up while the rain comes down.

2. Go play outside with the right gear from Valhalla Pure
With the right gear, a little rain has nothing on you. Check out Valhalla Pure’s jackets and accessories to stay dry while you enjoy the outdoors.
3. Stretch it out with Hot Yoga
Head to Oxygen Fitness for some hot yoga. It’s the perfect workout on a wet, soggy day and will leave you feeling amazing after. With a variety of classes for different fitness expereinces be sure to checkk out Oxygen Fitness this fall. Bonus: Moksha Yoga will be opening soon in the highlands and will offer hot yoga also, just in time for the cold winter days!
4. Play with your little ones at Squishy’s Family Fun Zone
Rain usually means playtime has to move inside. Scoop up the little ones and head to Squishy’s so they can let out some energy inside.
5. Squash at the Squamish Valley Golf Course
Rain or shine, there’s never a shortage of activities in Squamish. Work on your squash skills when things are a little wet out.
6. Drop by the pool
Don’t be defeated by the rain. Relax and take a dip. The hot tub will revive you and make you feel great. Mid week has a 2.00 drop in at lunch price.
7. Jump away the rainy day blues at Airhouse Trampoline Center
Bounce the blues away in this freestyle indoor trampoline park. It’s open seven days a week and there’s something for everyone.
8. Go underground at the Britannia Mine Museum
Take a peek at the haunting inner workings of Mill 3, or just learn more about what it takes to keep a mine running. A trip to the mine is the perfect mix of education and family fun.
9. Hike in the forest

10. Cloudwatch at the Sea to Sky Gondola
Just because it’s rainy doesn’t mean it won’t be fun. Rainy days often mean you’re riding directly through the clouds. It’s an amazing feeling you’ll never forget

11. Take an indoor climbing lesson at Ground Up Climbing Center
You can’t go wrong with 8,000 sq. ft. of climbing space. Take some time to learn more about top rope belay, or practice your bouldering skills. Either way, you’re sure to have a great time climbing indoors while it’s raining out.
12. Enjoy the Snowy Mountain Peaks and Start to get Excited for Powder!
Rain in town can mean deep powder on the mountains. Perhaps the most beautiful thing after heavy rainfalls in Squamish is the snowy mountain peaks rising above the clouds. Start to get excited for winter and visit Airhouse to help get in shape for ski season!
13. Find your favourite rainy day locally-brewed beer with tasters at Howe Sound Brewing
What better way to spend a rainy day than taste testing? Grab a few friends and head to Howe Sound for a fun afternoon indoors.
14. Enjoy live music on the patio of the Crabapple Café
Lucky for you, Crabapple Café is working on winterizing the patio. Take advantage of the tasty food and the winterized patio weather when rain strikes.
15. Storm watch on The Watershed Grill’s patio
Avoid the storm and just observe from afar. Head to Watershed for the best patio in Squamish,Bonus: Fall time means their weekly specials are back!
16. Puddle jumping in an ATV

17. Spa day at the Concrete Blonde
When it looks bad outside, why not work on looking good inside? Try out a new hairstyle or enjoy a wonderful massage or facial. You definitely won’t regret it.
18. Cozy up with a book from the library
If you’d rather stay home, grab a book from the library and find your favorite comfy chair. Cozy up and enjoy your newest read.
19. Date Night at one of our Local Favourite Restaurants
