Hiking at the top of the gondola:
The sea to summit trail is fast becoming a local favourite trail for locals and visitors alike, who are rewarded for their efforts with a snack or beverage at the top. The 10$ gondola ride back down will also save your knees the impact that comes from hiking down, for repeating this hike over and over.
Walking
Currently their are two even graded walking trails at the top of the gondola. The trails are a fantastic way for all skills & ages to escape in nature & enjoy the panoramic views:
The Panorama Trail
1.6 km long trail – Can be completed in under an hour
Open year round – Turns into a snowshoe trail in the winter
Leads to the Chief Overlook Viewing Platform
The Spirit Trail
Cultural journey through the rich history of the First Nations
400 meters long with a Spirit Viewing platform
Interpretive features that explore the history of the surrounding landscape
The stawamus chief gondola is a great destination for a visit year round. In addition to summer, The fall and winter also offer great activities at the top of the gondola at Squamish
Winter Activities
The Sea to Sky Gondola is a winter wonderland, offering many great ways to play at the top. With summer hiking trail turn into back country skiing access in the winter. Please note that the terrain is not meant to beginners. If you are interested in back country skiing at the top of the Sea to Sky gondola we recommend booking an experienced local guide to take you.
SNOWSHOEING:
Step into winter wonderland when you step off of the top of the gondola. Enjoy winter snowshoing the way it was meant to be, quiet with no lifts. The accessible sport can be tailored to all skills and levels, that’s the beauty of snowshoeing, you can go at your own pace.
Snow shoe rentals will be available at an additional charge at the Summit Lodge. *

Snowtubing:
Enjoy old-fashioned tubing at the Sea to Sky Gondola, with four lanes of sliding fun for all ages. End the day with a cup of hot chocolate or try some of our new winter stews and soups.
