Squamish Days Kettle Boil

LUMBERJACK CHILI COOK-OFF INVITATIONAL

Select local restaurants have been invited to serve up some delicious chili to the crowd at the Kettle Boil. Throw down $5 to be a taster and vote for your favourite; the chili with the most votes wins bragging rights and a hand carved wooden spoon.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CHAIR CARVE

August 2 @ 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

A chair carving contest unique to Squamish in which chairs of all shapes and sizes are carved out of logs using chainsaws. Judging and auctioning of chairs takes place at approximately 5:00 pm, with all proceeds going to Big Brothers & Big Sisters. Please note this event has been moved to a new location, Winnipeg Avenue at Cleveland Avenue, across from MacDonald Realty.

SQUAMISH DAYS BED RACES

What’s a bed race? It consists of a bed on wheels with a 5-person team – 4 pushers and a rider. Each team must negotiate a 2-block course filled with obstacles and challenges. It’s fun, exciting and wacky.

KID’S FESTIVAL

Something just for the kids! Come and take part in the many activities including races, face painting, bouncy castles, bubble station, bean bag toss, mini golf, balloon art and many more. Don’t miss this event for kids of all ages!

NOVICE & INTERMEDIATE LOGGERS SPORTS SHOW

This is where competitors start in loggers sports. The show is fun and gives competitors a chance to test their skills and move up the ranks. Come and cheer them onto victory! Partial proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Sea to Sky Forestry Centre. Please leave your dogs and coolers at home.

AXE THROW INVITATIONAL

Bragging rights are on the line once again at the Axe Throw Invitational. The field has been limited to 30 entrants this year so the competition is sure to be fierce! Spectators of all ages are welcome.

Sunday, August 4 11:00 am – Cleveland Ave., Downtown Squamish Sponsored by: Chances Squamish Presented by RCM-SAR (Station 4 Squamish) Always a family favourite, the parade will begin at Vancouver Street, travel up Cleveland Avenue and end at the Bank of Montreal. Floats must be at the staging area by 9am to be included in the judging.
