Going upside down doesn’t feel like a natural thing for many of us! But in addition to the direct physical benefits of reversing all of the systems of the body to gravity, inversions also offer us the opportunity to overcome fear, look at the world from a different perspective and eventually become comfortable in unusual or unfamiliar situations.
This techniques clinic is for anyone wanting to explore the world of inversions safely and methodically. In this workshop Sam will help you to explore the actions and shapes that are needed to create a strong foundation for going upside down. Customizing in ways that work for you to build confidence with tips and tools to practice safely.
Pincha Mayurasana (forearm balance)
Adho Mukha Vrskasana (handstand)
Salamba Sarvagasana (shoulder stand)
Will all be offered.
Not recommended for those with recent/chronic neck issues or eye pressure conditions.
