Foundations of Breath and Alignment

Our bodies are wonderful at helping us do the things we do, all day, every day. With that knowledge, it is up to us to give our bodies the permission to unwind from our daily patterns of action, anticipation or protection in to patterns of rest and restoration (otherwise known as “Neutral”).
As it is often rare that we give our bodies the permission to return to “Neutral”, many of us are highly unfamiliar with what neutral might even be. This workshop not only gives you this understanding but also a deeply felt sense of your capacity and ability to return to “Neutral”, as and when necessary, throughout your busy day.
-Learn the fundamental anatomy of breath.
-Develop keen awareness of your habitual breathing patterns.
-Understand how your breathing patterns may help or hinder your alignment.
-Using breath, learn how to consciously move from the ill-alignment of ‘Stress Response’ towards the optimal alignment of ‘Rest Response.”
-Practice key restorative postures to integrate “Neutral” alignment back into your nervous system.
