As the days grow shorter and the temperature starts to plummet many people seek out comfort foods and the eateries in Squamish are focused on providing appetizing fall meals.

The Green Moustache

The Green Moustache is switching from their our ever-so popular summer raw chili to a hot, cooked veggie chili for the winter. Nothing brings a feeling of warmth like veggie chili.

This dish is comforting, delicious and packed full of nutrients! As always, this meal is vegan, gluten-free and made with 100% organic ingredients. The chili contains a yummy combination of black beans, chickpeas, and an abundance of veggies like tomatoes and peppers, and a number of spices. Served on brown rice, topped with avocado and a cashew “sour cream”. Containing mostly beans and veggies, this dish is high in fiber which is good for lowering blood cholesterol and improving bowel function. In addition to being high in fiber, legumes also act as sources of protein, making them a great alternative to meat protein. The combination of veggies, legumes, and brown rice make this veggie chili a satisfying and nutritious meal for the colder months. The avocado adds some healthy fats, plus, the cashew sour cream tastes like the real deal!

Our Pick: Veggie Chili
