squamish bc

The longer, sunnier days are bringing people from all over Vancouver, the lower mainland and Squamish out of their winter hermiting to get out and enjoying the hiking and biking trails.  Last week Squamish and Whistler received a huge dump of alpine snow, making the back country ski enthusiasts very happy. The trails were soggy and slippery at lower points, but the recent sunny and warm days has melted the snow and dried up the trails.  The Hiking trail to the top of the chief is in perfect condition and on Sunday there were many people, young old fit and sick heading up to enjoy the stunning views from the top.

Their is rain in the forcast for the upcoming week, so the trail will be slippery. Proceed with caution while hiking up the Chief.

If you are looking for a great way to kick start your spring fitness goals, I suggest heading up to the top of the chief this week. Be sure to take a selfie picture at the top and join us in our hike the chief challenge by nominating your friends to head on up to the top.
